Saint Paul College offers non-credit training in child development and education. This field is in high demand, with several options for prospective students to join the industry!

Saint Paul College offers non-credit trainings for the healthcare industry. These courses are designed as short-term training programs that can lead to direct-to-employment careers. All of our healthcare courses meet State and National standards for credentialing to provide students quality education and training for students to receive certification.

Home & Auto Repair

Saint Paul College offers non-credit training in home and auto repair. Whether you are wanting to learn how to repair a small engine machine at home, fix your motorcycle, learn basic automotive care, or how to manage a DIY project at home, we have expert instructors on campus that will teach you basic and intermediary repair skills that are handy around the house!

Hospitality

Saint Paul College offers non-credit training in the hospitality industry. Our hospitality courses are generally self-paced, online.

Manufacturing & Skills Trades

Saint Paul College offers non-credit training in the manufacturing industry. Our manufacturing courses focus on skills needed to work in the field. Many of our courses are in-person based training, such as our popular Forklift Training and Welding courses to provide hands-on experience.

Transportation and Safety

Saint Paul College offers non-credit training in the Transportation and Safety industry. Our courses will teach students behind-the-wheel skills; food safety; and other vehicle license/certifications.

Grant and Funding Programs for Training

Grants can pay for a significant amount of your organizations training needs.  Saint Paul College will be your training partner and consultant for available funding programs.

Below are two popular grants that Saint Paul College’s Workforce Training and Continuing Education Department utilizes for Minnesota based Companies:

  • Minnesota Dual Training Pipeline Grant
    • Advanced Manufacturing
    • Health Care Services
    • Information TechnologyLegal Cannabis
    • Transportation
  • Minnesota Job Skills Partnership Grant (MJSP)
    • Focuses on providing training for both new and existing employees of participating businesses.  Grant awards “short form” up to $50,000 and “long form” up to $400,000. Projects average one to three years in duration.

Plumbing on Non-Credit

Plumbers Local 34 contracts with Saint Paul College to administer the Accuplacer exam as one of the entrance requirements to their training program.

Accuplacers are offered during the following dates/times:

Mondays & Wednesdays
8am – 3pm
Saint Paul College – room L587
$25/exam

*Please note – this is not a Saint Paul College Academic Program.  Plumbers Local 34 hosts their training at our location but they maintain all other aspects of the program.
